AccessAbility, Inc.

Providing opportunities for self-sufficiency for people with barriers to employment and community inclusion.

Since 1948, AccessAbility has served the changing needs of the Twin Cities community. AccessAbility’s collaborative approach with educators, local businesses, government agencies and other service providers is to connect individuals with the resources they need to enrich their lives through recreational, vocational, and paid work opportunities so they can successfully integrate with their communities.

Our Day Support Services work to offer life enrichment and community inclusion through person-centered classes, recreational activities, and community outings. Participants also engage in structured classes such as cooking, art, sports, and gardening, along with activities like bowling, shopping, and visiting museums.

Our Employment Services connect our persons served with opportunities to earn income through various jobs at our facility and in the community while receiving on-the-job training and support. Through our Pre-Vocational Program, we offer paid work opportunities in our facility through our own gifts manufacturing business and onsite production jobs in assembly, packaging, fulfillment, and mailing services. Community Employment opportunities are provided through community-based work crews throughout the Twin Cities metro area, with ongoing training and support services by an on-site supervisor. Extended Employment helps individuals find and maintain competitive, community-based jobs that align with their skills and interests.

Project Connect offers a full spectrum of transitional employment services and social support.  Project Connect serves a diverse community of people, many of whom face barriers to sustainable employment due to a limited work history, unemployment, or underemployment. Our programs offer immediate paid work opportunities to build job skills and work history in just 30 days. Through Project Connect, staff and participants collaborate on personalized vocational plans that lead to meaningful employment and personal growth.

Thank you for all your support and for believing in our mission. Your generosity, commitment, and encouragement have made it possible for us to continue serving our community and expanding our impact. Every donation, contributes to real, lasting change, and we are deeply grateful for the role you play in this work. Because of you, we are able to reach more people, offer more support, and move closer to the future we envision. We truly could not do this without you, and we thank you for being an essential part of our journey.
