Above & Beyond With U

Above & Beyond With U is more than being ADA Compliant.  

At our core is the belief in the spirit of the ADA - and how going above and beyond the minimum requirements is the true intent of this law.  

Our mission at Above & Beyond With U (A&BWU) works intentionally to increase awareness, inclusive practices, accessibility and belonging for anyone experiencing disability.

At Above & Beyond With U, we provide consulting, training and resources to businesses and local community programs to work towards increasing awareness, inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities. 

Our organization was founded in early 2023 by Jenna Udenberg, a native to Two Harbors, MN and a self-proclaimed full-time wheelie. We are solely operated by our dedicated volunteer board members. Our board currently represents people from Northern Minnesota & Northwest Wisconsin who have disabilities or are strong allies of the disability community.

Our goals:

• To create and sustain partnerships with other practitioners; community organizations; and agencies for whole community growth and inclusion.

• Provide consultation and training for accessibility needs incorporating Universal Design strategies.

• To share lived experience to create shared vocabulary and meaning to the work.

• To increase and promote accessibility within the community, region, state, and beyond.

Funds:

100% of the funds raised for Above & Beyond With U will go back into the organization to be used to meet our goals listed above. 

This would include using the funds for items such as creating community events, trainings & training materials, networking & professional development, and providing financial assistance to help businesses enhance accessibility & inclusion in Minnesota.
