For adults with disabilities, opportunities for fun in the community are far too limited. Families often struggle to find spaces that truly center their loved one’s needs—especially after high school, when individuals age out of the services provided by the school system. Many adults with disabilities live in group homes where discretionary funds are tight—for some, that's $90 per month or just $3 a day. We want recreation to open doors, not create additional barriers.

At A Great Day Farm, that changes. We keep our programs & amenities free so that all can access the joy & connection that recreation brings. Visitors are welcomed into a large, safe, fully-fenced recreation space where they can explore without fear or barriers. Parents and caregivers watch their loved ones light up & find joy at their own pace.

How Your Gift Grows Our Community 👐
Visits average $10-$15 a person when you account for utilities, staffing, space use, cleaning, and upkeep. Hosting a free one-hour art class led by a teaching artist for 8 participants costs nearly $700. Though this is not cheap, it is worth it. EVERY community member deserves full access to the recreational opportunities that bring freedom, joy, and belonging.
