The Mankato Area 77 Lancers Marching Band has been a successful, beloved tradition since 1978. The program has won numerous awards for its performances all across Minnesota and the United States. But more than that, the program has been an accepting and challenging activity for hundreds of Mankato youth.
Starting in the Fall of 2022, the Lancers are embarking on a new adventure. The band is leaving the parade streets and heading to the field. This new direction opens up a host of opportunities for students, including the development of a frontline ensemble of mallet instruments, keyboards, guitars, and anything else our leadership can dream up.
In addition to adding a new frontline, the band's uniforms and gear are in need of updating, specifically the drum harnesses and the well-known Lancer hats.
This year, our goal is to raise $20,000. These funds will go toward:

About Give to the Max
Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off an outpouring of generosity — $14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become Minnesota’s annual giving holiday, raising nearly $200 million in its first 11 years. Every year, thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans.
