1 Day At A Time MN

1 Day At A Time (1DAAT) is a BIPOC-led, community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families move from homelessness to stability, with dignity, compassion, and real hands-on support. We welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, identities, and circumstances, meeting each person where they are and walking with them toward lasting change.

What We Do

Every day, our team provides:

• Housing Navigation: Helping individuals and families find safe, affordable homes, especially high-barrier clients who are often denied elsewhere.

• Direct Assistance: Covering application fees, deposits, rental support, furniture, and essential move-in needs.

• Stabilization Services: Building long-term success through budgeting support and ongoing case management.

• Community Partnerships: Working alongside counties, landlords, shelters, and service providers to create real solutions for housing instability.

• Culturally Rooted, Trauma-Informed Support: Ensuring each client receives respectful, personalized care that honors their lived experience.
