LACF raising money for Southwest Initiative Foundation
Adrian Branch Library Renovation Project
THE LIBRARY WILL REOPEN ON FRIDAY, JULY 14, 2017!
The shelving has arrived! Soon, the staff will begin culling the collection and moving things back to the Library building. WE CAN'T WAIT! Please feel free to stroll by the Library and peek in the window (what are windows for, right?).
If you'd like to see some of the pictures of the renovation as it is happening, Contractor Clair Van Grouw is posting photos on his public Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ClairVanGrouwConstruction/
Remember, we are using the New Vision Coop building to conduct library services at the moment - so please stop in, check out some materials, read the newspaper, look for new books and movies, etc. We are happy to help you find what you are looking for!
THANK YOU to everyone that has donated to the fundraiser! It is greatly appreciated. Thank you to ALL of you for your support!
On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, the AHS Senior High students in grades 9-12 transferred the Library book collection from the current location, to the temporary site at 100 E. 1st Street. Approximately 200 students made four to five trips each, and carried arm loads of books in a continuous line on that sunny afternoon.
KSFY-TV was there to film the event, as well as other news sources:
