Change the Name!

We aim to raise at least $15,000 to change the name of Columbus Avenue in South Minneapolis to Oyáte Avenue, a Dakota language word meaning “the people” (pronounced oh-YAH-tay). All donations will go towards city fees, compensating artists working on the project, educational materials, and a community fund to support neighbors with any fees for changing IDs because of the name change.
