FOR THE LOVE OF THE BOUNDARY WATERS

For the Love of the Boundary Waters is a peer-to-peer fundraising adventure — which means you can rally your friends, family, and fellow adventurers to support the Wilderness you love.

Whether you paddle, hike, bike, run, stroll, or simply love the Boundary Waters from afar, this is your chance to give back to the Wilderness that gives us so much.

From June 7 to June 28, we're calling on wilderness lovers everywhere to raise funds to protect the Boundary Waters — because right now, this place we cherish is facing a serious threat:

Sulfide-ore copper mining has been proposed just upstream of the Boundary Waters. This type of mining — the most toxic industry in the U.S. — threatens to pollute this extraordinary place forever. If allowed, these mining operations would irreparably harm the Boundary Waters' lakes, rivers, and forests.

When you fundraise, you’re doing more than showing love — you’re helping Save the Boundary Waters take real, strategic action to protect the Boundary Waters, including:

  • Escalating legal challenges to stop toxic sulfide-ore copper mining projects

  • Rallying public support to amplify our collective voice

  • Advocating for lasting protections at the local, state, and federal level

  • Raising public awareness around dangerous anti-Boundary Waters bills

So, for the love of the Boundary Waters, let's fundraise.

When you're ready:

  1. Create your own fundraising page to share why you care.
  2. Set a fundraising goal that works for you.
  3. Choose how you want show your love — hike, paddle, bike, walk, or just relax in a hammock (seriously, that counts too). You can join on your own, with a team, or as a family.
  4. Rally support to help protect the Boundary Waters.

Bonus: if you raise $100+, you'll  earn a custom BWCA sticker pack, and if you hit $250+, you'll snag some merch. 🌲💙

There’s no wrong way to show up — whether you’re crushing miles on the trail or cheering from your hammock with a s’more in hand, you’re part of the movement.

Do it for clean water. Do it for the bug bites and bragging rights. Do it for the next generation of wild hearts. Do it for the Love of the Boundary Waters.
