"The Longest Day" originally referred to those who fought for our freedom on D-Day (June 6,1944). On Friday, June 21, Bunker Hills Golf Club is hosting the 11th Annual Longest Day of Golf for the Troops. Golfers will Tee It Up for the Troops at the crack of dawn and play until sundown to raise money for Tee It Up for the Troops and their partner charitable organizations serving the needs of veterans. Last year's grant recipients included Hearts & Hammers (external home makeovers for disabled/elderly veterans), MN Warriors Hockey (veterans hockey team and sled hockey for disabled veterans), United Heroes League (providing children of veteran's opportunity to participate in youth sports), DunMac Golf for Vets (providing golf opportunities for area veterans), and Freedom Fishing Foundation (providing fishing excursions for veterans and their families).

Many employers will match donations you make to Tee It Up for the Troops! Most of these matching gift dollars go unclaimed and it’s an easy way to double the impact of your contribution! Click the link below to see if your employer has a matching gift program.
Entry Package Includes (entry fee is $350 or more in fundraising raised & paid by June 9):
- At least 54-holes of golf (some of our golfers finished 100+ holes last year), including carts (refreshed every 27 holes). Golfers can enter as a foursome, or as individuals or twosomes that we will pair up. You can play your own ball, scramble or mix it up throughout the day.
- Coffee and bagels will be provided at check-in (6 a.m. check-in, 6:20 a.m. start).
- Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be provided throughout the day.
- Player gift package for each golfer.
Entrants will be asked to solicit donations/pledges to sponsor their participation in the Longest Day of Golf. Below is a list of the fundraising tiers and the incentive prizes attached to each of them:
Private Level Entry (minimum for one golfer).......................................................$350 (or more)
Participants raising $350 or more in donations/pledges, will receive their entry package (benefits listed above), and a Tee It Up for the Troops gift package.
Colonel Level Entry...........................................................................................................$1,250 (or more)
Participants raising $1,250 or more in donations/pledges, will receive their entry package (benefits listed above), plus one complimentary entry in the Tee It Up for the Troops Charity Golf Tournament at Bunker Hills on Friday, August 9.
General Level Entry.........................................................................................................$5,000 (or more)
Participants raising $5,000 or more in donations/pledges, will receive their entry package (benefits listed above), plus a complimentary foursome in the Tee It Up for the Troops Charity Golf Tournament at Bunker Hills on Friday, August 9.
Bonus Prize Package...........................................................................................................Top Fundraiser
In addition to the incentive benefits listed at the fundraising thresholds outlined above, the top fundraiser for The Longest Day of Golf for the Troops will have his/her name on a plaque permanently displayed at Bunker Hills, plus a special bonus prize package valued at $250+
