On Giving Tuesday 2023, the AHLF team launched a playful B-I-N-G-O fundraiser to fund the adoption of a new pink animal ambassador to the Discovery Center. Thanks to the overwhelming support from family and friends, we achieved our goal!
On February 14th, 2023 (Valentine's Day), Bingo and her four siblings were born. At just 3 weeks old, staff member Erin Hardin couldn’t resist making the journey to Valley Center to meet her. Tiny enough to fit in one hand and already a big cuddler, we knew we had found the perfect addition to our AHLF family.
On April 2nd 2023, 6.5 week old Bingo was ready to come home. It didn’t take long for her to settle into a routine filled with love, cuddles, peek-a-boo, and plenty of romaine lettuce.
For the next few weeks, Bingo was gradually introduced to the other animals, including the chickens and Tortie the tortoise, along with special visits from members and school programs. We quickly discovered that Bingo loves all animals and will be anyone’s friend for a few pets and a Cheerio.
Fast forward to today: Bingo is now 6 months old, has learned five tricks, eats five heads of lettuce a day, and enjoys spending her time with Tortie or the chickens. She's adored by guests and always eager for attention. Now that Bingo is old enough to spend nights at the Discovery Center (previously alternating with staff members), we need your help to fund her barnyard.
