Prior to joining the green team, Courtney was a fundraiser for nearly five years for Hennepin County Library, a canvasser for The Fund for the Public Interest, and was the president of Panyijiar Community Development Services, a student-run nonprofit at Concordia College-Moorhead that supports a small community in South Sudan.
Passionate about the intersection of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) and philanthropy, Courtney sits on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (MN) IDEA committee. She also sits on OutFront Minnesota’s development committee, and is motivated by helping organizations find their power and fulfill their missions. Her hope is to help create an equitable and just nonprofit industry across Minnesota (and then the world!).
Courtney graduated from Concordia College-Moorhead in 2015 with an English Literature degree and received her master’s in Nonprofit Management from Hamline in 2018.
When she’s not fundraising or talking about philanthropy, you can find Courtney climbing at the Minneapolis Bouldering Project, baking pies from scratch, or re-watching clips from Saturday Night Live.
