On October 1, 2023, St Joan of Arc’s Sister Parish will be having it’s annual Solidarity Walk. As we walk, we will be joined in spirit by our sister community Tierra Nueva Dos in Guatemala. In addition to building solidarity between us, this walk helps raise funds.
Sister Parish works to promote inter-cultural understand passion for peace and justice among people in the United States and Central America.
The annual Solidarity Walk not only provides crucial funds for sustaining the Sister Parish organization and coordinating community projects like scholarships for students and supporting women’s groups, the organization has also provided critical emergency relief to communities in Guatemala and El Salvador facing serious challenges due to economic and health impacts caused by Covid.
in addition to raising funds, the Solidarity Walk is also a time to join our communities in fellowship and prayer. If you can’t join us in person, please be with us in your thoughts and prayers on October 1 as St. Joan of Arc walks in solidarity with Tierra Nueva Dos.
