This Give to the Max Day, your support puts hope in motion.
Right now in our community, children and neighbors are facing challenges no one should face alone. Some are seeking safety and healing after unimaginable trauma. Others simply need a welcoming place to learn, thrive, and connect. And when those needs emerge, your LOCAL United Way is ready to respond quickly – because of donors like you.
Two powerful examples from this year show what happens when community comes together:
A safe ride toward healing
A coffee conversation between United Way and Corrie’s House sparked a partnership that is now changing lives for youth who have survived sex trafficking. When Corrie’s House realized they urgently needed a safe and reliable vehicle to get teens to school, medical care, therapy, and activities that help them rebuild their lives – United Way connected the dots. A local auto dealer stepped up. Individual donors joined in. And together, a vehicle became so much more: a pathway to freedom, dignity, and hope.-
Music, belonging & a place to just be a kid
In Bayport, the new St. Croix Youth Choir is filling afternoons with music, joy, and connection. Thanks to support through United Way’s Kay Clint Fund, students in grades 3 - 8 have access to a safe and enriching afterschool space – at no cost to families. Each rehearsal ends with dinner, turning choir night into a moment where kids and parents can gather, connect, and feel supported as a community.
United Way steps in when needs arise – whether that’s supporting vulnerable youth, helping families feel less alone, or ensuring every person has access to basic needs and safe spaces.
When you give, you are funding real solutions for emerging needs right here at home.
