Christmas for Kids | Christmas in July
Christmas may seem months away, but the work of creating a joyful holiday for local children and families begins now.
For more than 20 years, the Pine River-Backus Family Center's Christmas for Kids program has helped local families experience the joy of Christmas through the generosity of our community. Thanks to the support of individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations, children receive meaningful gifts and families enjoy special holiday traditions together.
Why Give in July?
Starting our fundraising early helps us plan ahead, stretch every donated dollar, and thoughtfully prepare for the holiday season. It also gives us time to build partnerships and purchase gifts that better match each child's wish list.
What Your Gift Provides
Christmas for Kids is about more than presents. Whenever possible, each child receives a requested gift, and families also receive a board game, wrapping supplies, a holiday cookie kit, and a $50 Dollar General gift card to help make the season a little brighter.
While we are always grateful for donations of new toys, financial gifts make the greatest impact. They allow us to purchase the specific gifts children are hoping for and ensure every family receives a meaningful Christmas experience.
