Would you believe that diarrehea is the 2nd leading cause of death for children around the world? That's right. Something that is a nuisance or a punchline in our country is fatal in parts of the world where children lack access to clean water and basic hygiene. As a parent of two, I can't imagine the grief over losing my child to something so basic and preventable.
My company RB has partnered with Save The Children to eradicate this, and through education and innovation, it's possible to give every child an equal chance at a happy life. More info at IGiveA.net and #IGiveA.
This is my third Track Friday event. I like the idea of having some of the money spent on Black Friday go towards charitable causes. And I like coming together with friends on a local track. It reminds me of what I enjoy most about this season: getting together with people I care about and doing something to help others.
