Inside the Walls - A Center for Autism

ProAct is a non-profit organization providing over 1,400 individuals with disabilities a broad range of life skills and enrichment classes and activities and employment services for those interested in entering or reentering the workforce.  The disabilities served range from intellectual to physical to communication disorders including those on the Autism Spectrum.  The number of individuals served who live with Autism or related communication disorders continue to rise and we see a need to build an Autism center within our agency walls to provide participants a safe and calming environment to go to when the stressors of the day become too much.  

ProAct's Autism Center is being built but we lack the funds to equip and supply the space with lighting, swings, couches, weighted blankets and other sensory tools needed to make our Autism center a space that effectively serves our participants!  With $7,000 we will be able to purchase some of the following:
