Turning Black Friday into Track Friday 2016

I'm taking to the track on the day after Thanksgiving for Save the Children and to help turn Black Friday into Track Friday.

I chose Save the Children because wherever crisis strikes, at home or abroad, they are among the first to respond and last to leave in the pursuit of safety for children. They believe, like I do, that every child should have the ability to grow up in a safe and happy environment and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Every $10 donation gives 16 kids (thanks to a corporate match) access to medicine and supplies to stop diseases that are as fatal as they are preventable.

This is my fifth Track Friday event. I like the idea of having some of the money spent on Black Friday go towards charitable causes. And I like coming together with friends on a local track. It reminds me of what I enjoy most about this season: getting together with people I care about and doing something to help others.
