ELMHS 2021 Annual Campaign

It’s our honor and our passion to share the history of the south Lake Minnetonka area with the world - from local students and alumni to overseas genealogists!

Although we have returned to our in-person programing, we have also continued to expand our online presence by... 

· Adding hundreds of digital images from our collection to MNCollections.org, 

· Collecting memories and sharing historic images of Excelsior's Water Street through "Water Street Wednesdays" on Facebook and Instagram. 

· Offering online recordings of our history presentations to members via our EduVision channel. 

· Creating a NEW virtual WWII Veteran’s Exhibit which will be available by Veteran’s Day 2021!

We also celebrated the reopening of our museum this summer by partnering with four other local museums in the creation of a new PastPort program and welcoming over 1000 visitors and several tour groups to our new museum exhibits this summer. 

And we’re excited to announce that we’ll commemorate 50 years of collecting, preserving and sharing Lake Minnetonka history in 2022 with a museum exhibit and several other special events!
