Update posted 4 years ago

Thanks to your generosity, we've surpassed our $15,000 stretch goal! That means with year-end matches, we've raised over $30,000 that will support our work for the animals in 2020.

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to all who contributed to our year-end drive. Thank you for your support as we move into the new year and work toward continuing this vital work for the animals. THANK YOU!!!

Help us reach our stretch goal of $15,000!

Every five seconds, 171,000 animals like Mags, * pictured above,  are losing their lives, often for a single meal. But thanks to friends like you, our programs helped over 14,000 Minnesotans explore and embrace plant-based eating in 2019.

Your gift today will help us reach 16,000 people in 2020, sparing 292,000 animal lives. You'll also stop 5,840,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from going into our atmosphere. **

Click the donate button to learn just how many animal lives your gift can spare. Creating a monthly gift is an easy way to spare more lives, and will make you a part of our Circle of Care. Circle of Care members will get free admission to our Vegan Chili Cook-Off for themselves and three friends, and special recognition at events.

All gifts this month are being matched by an anonymous donor. Read on to learn the difference for animals that your gift makes.

Angie and Mel were celebrating Pride. Our sign, “Find Out What Factory Farms Don’t Want You to Know,” caught their eye. Curious, they sat down to watch the video we were screening. *

They were shocked by what they saw and wanted to know how they could help.

Our volunteer gave them a dollar and asked them to think about how the dollars they spend on food can make a difference for animals. Then he shared a recipe and food buying guide with them.

Angie and Mel have been vegan ever since.

Bryan stopped by our food giveaway at the University of Minnesota and took the Twin Cities VegPledge. He was amazed by how well the week went. “It was a much easier change than I thought it would be. I found out I can eat vegan and be satisfied.” *

Together, through changes like these, we’ve spared thousands of animal lives in the past year alone.

We need your support today to raise $10,000 by December 31  and expand our critical work in 2020. With your help we will:

  • Engage at least 650 people in moving to plant-based eating through the Twin Cities VegPledge and Explore Veg Mentor Program
  • Expand our cafeteria meal change program, Wholesome Minnesota, to three new institutions
  • Use video outreach, food giveaways, and leafleting to help at least 4,600 community members see how they can divest from cruel farming practices and live a plant-powered life
  • Bring 11,000 people to Twin Cities Veg Fest 2020 to celebrate vegan eating and the difference it makes for animals and the environment

Every gift made between now and December 31 will be matched by an anonymous donor!
