In celebration of my 85th birthday, I'm lacing up my walking shoes in support of Books For Africa! Please sponsor books to African in honor of my effort. The children of Africa thank you!
I have now covered some 2,000 miles fundraising for the organization I founded, plus I climbed 19,400 foot Kilimanjaro on my 70th birthday. But so many more books need to be sent. Please help by making a pledge.
I plan on walking from the Taylor's Falls Library(the oldest in the state) to our St. Paul warehouse, a distance of some 60 miles. Donors will get updates on my walk and be able to join me at a suitable social distance.
Sometime this year we will pass the 50 million books sent to the Continent. Who knows, it might even be one I pick up in Taylors Falls and carry it on the first leg of its journey to a student in Africa!
