Reading Acts Of Kindness!
There are two main purposes of the read-a-thon:
- Encourage students to develop good reading habits (that's why we kicked-off the event by giving each student a book related to the theme of equity and community)
- Raise money for PTA budgeted items that benefit our Horace Mann School community.
We're also using this opportunity to reinforce the culture of kindness at Horace Mann by including kindness-themed books and activities with the read-a-thon.
Our PTA goal is to raise $20,000 in Read-a-Thon donations. As one of the main school fundraisers, the money raised is vital to the success of the PTA's plans for funding school-wide activities such as vocal music, the library, and Art Adventure. Donate to Read-a-Thon:
