Help Illuminate the Chemistry Gallery at Praxis

Goal: $1,800 for Track Lighting Installation

Last year, your generosity made it possible for Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center to complete all the work required to register our 501(c)(3) nonprofit application—an essential step toward becoming Minnesota’s only nonprofit photo arts center.

This year, we’re focusing our Give to the Max campaign on the next step in our transformation: installing track lighting in the Chemistry Gallery, our exhibition space dedicated exclusively to artists working with film and traditional photo-chemical processes.

The Chemistry Gallery celebrates Minnesota’s analog and alternative process photographers—artists using silver gelatin, tintype, cyanotype, palladium, and other chemistry-based methods. Installing professional lighting will ensure their work is seen in the best possible light and strengthen our commitment to supporting film and alternative process artists across Minnesota.

Key Points:

  • Goal: $1,800 to install professional track lighting in the Chemistry Gallery

  • Builds on last year’s successful nonprofit registration campaign

  • Enhances exhibition quality for local darkroom and alt-process artists

  • Supports Minnesota’s only 24-hour-access analog arts center

  • Every contribution—large or small—helps light the way for the next generation of film photographers
