We take students on trips to open their eyes to the possibilities around them.
A trip to Crystal Cave in western Wisconsin may not seem like a big deal to a lot of us, but for many of our third graders it was their first trip out of Minnesota. So, in addition to the science that was part of our curriculum for that day, we also had an impromptu geography lesson.
After a trip to the Children's Theater in Minneapolis, a father attending the trip with his son said "I've never been to a performance like that. It was really fun. Thank you!"
Going to the apple orchard to pick an apple, take a hayride, choose a pumpkin and visit the petting zoo is a big deal for students in an urban school.
Your donation to Nettie & Friends ensures that children have the opportunity to experience activities that many of us may have taken for granted in our own childhoods. It opens the world to students. Thank you.
