Help us build community among low-income people.
What makes a community thrive? The answer is simple. Social connectedness.
What is social connectedness? It's the opportunity to build positive relationships with your neighbors and foster a sense of community. Out of these relationships, amazing things can happen.
Social connectedness is central to all we do and it is playing a HUGE part as we begin providing services at a new site - University Dale Apartments in St. Paul's Frogtown neighborhood.
A year ago, University Dale Apartments was an isolated community struggling with a high amount of crime.
Isolated neighbors who had never met one another are now getting together at weekly community building events, planned by the Resident Advisory Council, a group of residents that meet monthly to provide community input.
The community is becoming safer and stronger.
At a recent community dinner, a drawing was held for a grocery gift card. The resident whose name was drawn was overjoyed and said, “Now that I won this gift card, I can eat next week!”
Your donation will assist in providing the staff and supplies needed to provide more opportunities for resident engagement leading to a healthier and safer community.
Please join us in helping residents at University Dale Apartments by making a donation.
