Growing our community one mentoring relationship at a time.
By donating to RUSC Kinship Mentoring you will be ensuring the power of mentoring is accessible to the youth in Stevens County!
In 2013, Raising Up Stevens County Kinship was founded by a group of concerned community members who agreed that providing mentoring opportunities for children, youth and families can only make our community a better place to live. In the past two years we have experienced an increasing number of people unifying to ensure our young people have access to caring adult mentors in Stevens County.
Our vision is for all Stevens County children and families to have easy access to supportive, positive adults in their lives. Research shows the value of a mentor in a young person's life can significantly improve their likelihood of becoming a healthy and successful adult and community member. As an organization we believe that it is a priority to invest in the youth in our community today in order to see a better community tomorrow. We are seeking people who believe along with us that their investments in the youth in our community can make a real difference in Stevens County.
Donations ensure that we can continue to provide mentoring opportunities in Stevens County. Costs associated with mentoring include administration costs to recruit, train, screen and support volunteer mentors and families. Donations also support programming costs including background checks, group youth and mentor activities/events and office maintenance. Please consider making one-time donation, or scheduling a monthly donation of just $30 a month to help us achieve sustainability. It would only take 135 people donating $30/day to totally support our operating expenses, that is less than 2% of the county! Give to the Max Day donations this year will be matched up to $10,000 by the Otto Bremer Trust! We hope that you will help us secure that funding and support mentoring in our community. Your investment in RUSC Kinship Mentoring is an investment in the future of Stevens County and a young person's life.
