What is The Central MN Rainbow Bridge Memorial Garden?

A place of reflection and community connection, The Central MN Rainbow Bridge Memorial Garden will invite visitors into a landscape where love endures. The wooden Rainbow Bridge (coming soon to Heritage Park this Spring!) will be painted in six luminous bands of color, spanning a paw‐shaped stone bed. Along the railings will be lovingly placed pet collars and custom memorial tags to create a gallery of stories, each one honoring a life forever cherished. A plaque will feature The RainbowBridge poem by Edna Clyne‐Rekhy offering words of comfort and connection, grounding the space in its timeless message of reunion and hope. Guests will be surrounded by prairie blooms, whispering grasses, and the sounds of nature. This space will honor the bond between people and their beloved animals- and foster joy through community connections.

How Our Community will Shape the Garden:

This project is 100% community funded and driven by dedicated volunteers. A paw-shaped stone bed, will feature rocks where people can take, paint, and return to put on display. Raised garden beds will invite community members for annual plantings, and with the continued growth of the garden (and funds) we will be working to provide handicap accessible options. Locally crafted artist benches will provide a comforting space for quiet reflection. A “Little Library” will share books on pet loss, grief, mental health, and healing. The future of the garden will be hosting activities, such as gardening, art projects, learning opportunities, and peaceful reflections.
