Paws+Claws Rescue & Resort

Paws+Claws Rescue & Resort is a state of the art animal shelter, boarding and grooming facility that sits on a  22-acre parcel 1 mile south of Hackensack on State Highway 371.

The 13,400 square foot building  utilizes the latest energy-saving technologies  and solar array.

Paws and Claws  features:

• The Shelter can house up to 30 dogs and 30 cats
• Each shelter kennel has an outdoor kennel run
• The boarding offers 5 Luxury Boarding Suites, 16 Deluxe Boarding Kennels, 10 Standard Boarding Kennels and boarding room for up to 8  cats
• Separate wings for pets waiting for adoption and boarded pets so there is no cross-contamination
• Separate quarantine & isolation area for animals just arriving before they move to the shelter
• Indoor “cat colony” room
• Grooming area and more.
• The building was constructed with the future in mind, using industrial grade materials and the latest in sound containment technology
• The sophisticated 11 HVAC systems on the 2nd floor ensure clean, healthy air for animals and humans alike
• Solar panels will contribute up to 15% of our electrical needs over the next 30 years. The building was constructed facing south to take advantage of passive solar opportunities
• Community room available for the public's use and commons area
• The landscaping is a work in progress. It will  include pollinator friendly plantings and eventually walking paths you will be able to enjoy with your favorite four footed friend
