Mythical Robotics

Team 2491 NoMythic is based in St. Paul, Minnesota and made up of students from Great River School and Avalon School. We participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition. FIRST is an internationally known and recognized program that teaches children and young adults how to form creative solutions to technological challenges. Our team’s rookie year was 2008 and we are currently in our 17th year of existence.

Each year, we build a robot in six weeks that is made to play a specific game. Along the way, our team members learn skills in programming, design, marketing, organization, leadership, and, of course, in building a robot. We also work hard to make sure everyone on our team feels heard, valued, and supported.

Our team rocks purple tie-dye and unicorns wherever we go. We’ve qualified for the World Championship five times (in 2015, 2017, 2020, 2022, and 2025) and the Minnesota State Championship three times (2018, 2020, 2022, and 2025).
