The Minneapolis Art Lending Library

A nonprofit organization

Due to the impacts of COVID-19 and the effect George Floyd's murder has had on our community, MALL is going on hiatus while we determine the future of our organization. In the meantime we still need you. Your support will help us get through this transition and seed the next phase of our beloved art lending library.

Make art a part of everyday life for everyone!

The Minneapolis Art Lending Library shares the joy of art with our community through the free lending of original artworks. Every three months, we invite the public to browse our collection of 100 works of art, then choose one to take home and enjoy. We believe that living with artwork creates a stronger appreciation and understanding of the arts. This lending model makes original artwork accessible to all.

We’re dedicated to supporting the artists represented in our collection by bringing their work to new audiences and facilitating sales to interested buyers. MALL provides a unique service in the Twin Cities, and we rely on the support of the community to function. Your donation supports artists and art lovers alike!

"Through its free public lending events, MALL is one of the few organizations that dares to reimagine the way we create a barrier-free art culture. It's a response to a system that has historically limited art to the privileged few."—Chee Hallowell, Borrower

MALL supports artists too!

"As an artist supported by MALL, I love knowing that my work is circulating at all times into new spaces and hands."—Camille Erickson, MALL artist.
