Springboard for the Arts

Local artists reimagining sustainable art practice and cultivating equity and justice for all.

$55,000 goal

Support the Performance Collective in our opportunity to invest in equipment for use in the building expansion at Center for Performing Arts.

This equipment will support public presentations by performance-based artists: dance floors, lighting equipment, and sound equipment.

Our goal is to raise $55,000 by August 2021.

Why call it an investment? How will “investors” see a benefit? Our pooled resources can expand a vibrant art community and support our neighbors.

  • You donate an amount that fits your budget.
  • The Performance Collective aggregates the donations from you, colleagues, collaborators, neighbors, supporters, and audiences.
  • The Performance Collective invests your donations in equipment for the performance spaces.
  • YOUR BENEFIT: The Performance Collective transforms that income into opportunities for local artists to develop work and their art practice, and for artists and audiences to meet in community. These opportunities align with our mission to radically reimagine financial sustainability for artists and to cultivate equity and justice for all.

What is the Performance Collective?

We are a group of Twin Cities artist-activists who are shaping a creative ecosystem that sustainably supports artists and their work, and where artists share investment, resources, risk, and reward.

Located at the Minneapolis Center for Performing Arts, the Collective will help re-invigorate the Twin Cities performing arts community through this innovative financial model, from which we will create opportunities for art-based dialogue, engagement, and empathy.
