Please donate to the Godspell Production Fund and help bring this socially distanced, outdoor show to life at the LONG DRIVE-IN in three performances on August 4, 5, and 8.

Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden), and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit, "Day by Day," Godspell features a parade of beloved songs, including "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All for the Best," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man" and "By My Side."

In this beloved musical, a small community forms around a modern-day Jesus of Nazareth to tell parables through a variety of games, storytelling,  and comedy. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance, and love come vibrantly to life.

In 2012, Schwartz refreshed the Godspell script and music, updating cultural references and adding new musical arrangements, putting a new luster on this familiar musical.

The creative team that brought summer musicals back to Little Falls with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in 2019 now is excited to bring the 2012 revision of Godspell to central Minnesota for the first time. Your generous donation will help us ensure this show meets the high production standards local audiences have come to expect, and will help us fill the auditorium so Godspell's timeless and transcendent messages are heard far and wide.
