Keep Mental Health Support at The Wave

Young people don’t always walk into a counseling office and say, “I need help.”

Sometimes it starts with a conversation over a snack. A hard day. A question. Or simply having an adult notice that something isn’t quite right.

That is why having licensed mental health professionals right here at The Wave matters.

They are part of the space and the relationships already happening here. Kids get to know them. They talk with them. And sometimes what begins as an ordinary conversation becomes an opportunity to work through something much bigger.

And our kids use them.

We have seen how valuable it is to have mental health support available in a place where young people already feel safe and comfortable. But funding for this work is becoming harder to find, and we do not want to lose something that is clearly making a difference.

We are raising $12,000 to help keep licensed mental health support at The Wave.

At $100 an hour, every gift helps put more time with a licensed professional directly into the lives of our young people.

This does not have to come from one large donor. A little from here and a little from there really does add up.

Because these are our kids. And when one of them needs someone, we want that support to be right here.
