Logan's Legacy

Logan Michael Mott was in a horrible car accident as the passenger in his friend's car in September of 2021. In an instant he went from a super strong, handsome, independent junior in HS to a quadriplegic, nonverbal TBI warrior. Although things were so different & difficult we loved him hard & did everything in our power to keep him here with us. 

We lived in Regions & Gillette Children's for 7.5 months after the accident. Then Logan & I moved across the state of Wisconsin to a little town approximately one hour from Milwaukee, called Juneau. I lived in a B&B there while Logan lived in a rehab facility. We were in Juneau for 13 months. He had been home with us since May of 2023. On December 4, 2025 I awoke to Logan breathing against his BiPap. He went into cardiac arrest in the ambulance. He was flown back to Regions where we found out due to the cardiac arrest he had suffered yet another brain injury. This one being detrimental to a healthy brain, which Logan obviously did not have. We were told he would probably never wake up again & that we should make end of life decisions. After careful consideration, knowing Logan was an organ donor on his DL, we were able to give four families an amazing Christmas through organ donation. Logan Michael left this earth on December 15, 2025. 

Life hasn't been the same since. Everyday is a struggle. We miss him so incredibly much. He was the little boy who completed our family. Not a day passes where we aren't thinking of him & wondering what he'd be doing now had this tragedy not occurred in '21. He sends us signs & although we know he is whole again, we miss him immensely. He was #61 on the football field but #1 in our hearts. Forever our HERO. 

Everyday is a special gift. Love your babies hard. Hug them often. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us. Choose kindness above all else. Live for Logan. 💚💚
