Join Team VIP/Employment for the 35th Made in the Shade: Walk, Run and Roll event! We are excited to celebrate 35 years of Made in the Shade!
Vocational Immersion Program (VIP) - our program is located in Golden Valley. We are a work-based program that teaches skills for employment. We assist with teaching employment skills, how to apply for jobs, and what employers in the community are expecting from employees.
Once they are able to gain employment, we supplement with a job coach based on their level of need. We have two forms of employment options, either working with 4-6 other individuals from our program with a job coach for their full shift. The other is that they are able to independently work by themselves, but need occasional check-ins.
We are raising money for the Made in the Shade campaign! This year all funds will support expanding community access so individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have opportunities to be seen, heard, and included in the community!
We are in a friendly competition with our PRI service locations and the team that raises the most funds towards our $3,000 goal wins a great prize! Together, we are doing our part to raise $50,000 to power the future for individuals with disabilities. Please join us!
