St. Paul Central High School Theatre Boosters

What does it mean to "stare down the odds and seize the day?" For students in the The St. Paul Central High School theatre program, it means we believe in you, your gifts matter, and today is the day we can make a difference.

Each school year, Central Theatre puts on three productions. This fall CHS Theatre will be producing the much loved musical,  NEWSIES!  

Here is where we need you!  While the district does pay for a large percentage of the creative team, the cost to put on several productions per year is not funded by the district. This means that all of our expenses must be fully covered by outside sources.  Last year, there were almost 200 students involved in the musical---at about $160/student.  

Unlike other school theatre programs, we do not require students to pay to participate. We believe each student's courage to stand -up is a gift and we want as many students to join as well.

This is where we need your help. Your financial gift will make a profound difference.

Your donation goes directly to cover the cost of:  

•  sponsorships for students to ensure everyone has access to the performing arts

•  stipends to pay for the expertise of a choreographer, tech director, costumer, and props master.

•  securing the rights for each production 

•  costumes (Sourcing and/or making these costumes takes time,  dedication, and sufficient funds)

•  set construction pieces and paint supplies (All of the wood, hardware, paint, and extraneous supplies need to be sourced and the set efficiently built for maximum use of the supplies that we have.)
