Supporting Veterans and Active Duty Military Through Innovative Recreational Rehabilitation Programs

This is just one of thousands of stories shared by our Veterans and Active Duty Military that participate in Rivers of Recovery's innovative rehabilitation programs. At Rivers of Recovery we believe that our Veterans and Military should not be left to a life of pain, mental anguish and disability after putting their lives on the line for others.  Our program offers a chance for Veterans to reconnect with nature, fellow Veterans and themselves.  Through yoga, fly fishing, outdoor activities and talk therapy our program has been scientifically proven to decrease PTSD symptoms, perceptual stress, anxiety and depression immediately after the program and continued relief six-months following the program. 

Your donation directly effects how many Veterans will on our trips in the 2016 fishing season. Participants are able to experience our innovative programs free of costs, however, lodging, meals, transportation, fishing equipment and guides averages $2,000 per participant which is only possible with individual and corporate donations and sponsorships.  Donations received this year will allow Rivers of Recovery to plan trips for the 2016 season.  We are anticipating the start of a new program in Minnesota which will give opportunity for more Veterans in our state to participate in our life-changing program.
