Lovely’s Sewing & Arts Collective (LSAC) is a Twin Cities-based nonprofit social enterprise transforming lives through sewing as a trade skill. For over 17 years, we have helped youth, teens, and adults build confidence, discipline, creativity, and real-world skills through hands-on learning.

What began with sewing has grown into a powerful pathway for entrepreneurship, financial literacy, mindfulness, leadership, and economic independence. Participants learn how to create products, price items, sell their work, manage money, and believe in their own potential.

Today, LSAC proudly operates a retail + sewing experience space inside IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis, where the front of our space features handmade goods created by youth, teens, and instructors, while the back of the space is where transformation happens through sewing education.

Our programs include:

• Youth sewing and entrepreneurship classes
• Teen leadership development
• Adult beginner sewing classes
• Corporate team-building workshops
• Mindfulness and yoga integration
• Financial literacy and savings education
• Scholarship opportunities for underserved families

The impact is real. Youth in our programs have opened savings accounts, learned to mend and repair clothing, gained confidence speaking in public, and discovered they can create income with their own hands.

We also believe exposure changes mindsets. Through community partnerships, field trips, fashion shows, and cultural experiences, we help youth dream beyond what they currently see.
