Good Counsel Learning Center educates and empowers students to improve their lives.

We are a nonprofit learning center for youth and adult students learning essential literacy and math skills.

Good Counsel Learning Center is building a community where every learner has the opportunity, support, and confidence to reach their full potential and use their gifts to strengthen their communities.

Mission

The mission of Good Counsel Learning Center is to “provide personalized instruction for students to reach their full potential.” We serve children and  adults marginalized by disability, poverty, race, religion, ethnicity, and nationality through individualized tutoring and workforce preparation programs. 

Key Programs

The key academic programs at the Learning Center are Youth Tutoring for students in grades PreK-12 and Adult Tutoring for ESL, GED,  and college/university students 18 and older. Through these programs, we match students, one-on-one, with experienced educators.  We also offer a Financial Assistance Program to provide eligible students of all ages with tuition assistance to eliminate traditional financial barriers to private tutoring.

Your support enables us to continue empowering marginalized and vulnerable members of the community.  Donations pay for student scholarships, classroom accommodations and modifications, Science of Reading-aligned professional development for staff.
