Elizabeth never thought she and her son would be living in a friend’s basement. But after she and her husband separated, she didn’t have anywhere else to live.
“It is because of the housing help I’ve had from IOCP that I’ve been able to focus on my life’s goals,” Elizabeth said. “IOCP also helped me with food and other basic items. And while in Project Success, I’ve been able to pursue school, maintain my job, and work on other life goals that will give me long-term stability.”
We aim to help 1,700 families like Elizabeth’s with basics such as housing, employment, child care, food and transportation. The goal? To help families achieve long-term stability.
Two-thirds of the families we serve live in poverty. Their annual incomes are at or below $22,350. And we turn away about 20 families in need of emergency assistance each month because we simply don’t have the funding to serve them.
You can change that. By making a donation today, you can give families help – and create hope for a brighter future. Your gift will help support our food shelf, employment program, affordable housing and child care programs, transportation assistance, and more.
You can be there for families experiencing the most difficult times of their lives – and help them move from crisis to stability, from despair to hope. Make a donation today.
