$6,000 Goal

This Give to the Max Day season, social service, healthcare, and housing systems across the Twin Cities are straining to keep up with the rising challenges facing our communities:

  • The increasingly deadly opioid epidemic, fueled by fentanyl
  • Intensifying mental health needs
  • A growing population of unhoused people

No one turned away

Here at RS EDEN, we see our community’s most resilient individuals and families being shuttled between siloed systems and services, leaving them to wind up in loops of relapse, homelessness, and reincarceration. Put simply, existing systems are not set up to truly help the people we serve.

Looking inward, we knew this was true of our own systems as well. For example, 60% of people coming to RS EDEN for substance-use treatment had medical needs that were too complex for us to admit them into our care—until last month, when we reduced that percentage to zero. This October, we opened Minnesota’s first-ever intensive withdrawal management program embedded in a residential recovery center, ensuring that no one is turned away to the streets.

A hub and a home for mental health

RS EDEN is also boldly confronting our community’s mental health crisis. We know that seeking therapy and counseling is a daunting step for many of our program participants—why send them somewhere else to start again? This is why RS EDEN has committed to embedding Mental Health Services across all our programs, so that rather than referring them elsewhere, we can be the familiar hub and home for the support they need.

Your #GTMD23 gift today takes these programs to the max.

To continue moving forward in this bold way, we must also fundraise boldly.

Will you help us meet our $6,000 goal this Give to the Max Day season?
