Metro Meals on Wheels

In 2022, Meals on Wheels programs in the Twin Cities served 1,488,000 meals. The need continues to grow this year as inflation takes a toll. Seniors on fixed incomes are struggling with the increased costs of food, bills, and medication. They also feel isolated, and COVID-19 continues to pose the biggest threat to vulnerable older adults.

They depend on their community to get by, and every day more individuals are reaching out for help. 

Meals on Wheels programs are working hard to ensure that everyone who needs assistance gets hot, fresh meals while volunteers provide consistent check-ins that help seniors feel less lonely.
